A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action

A couple of days ago while I was driving I was listening to the local Country and Western Legends station.  I heard a song with the tag “A little less Talk and a lot more Action.”  This could apply to almost anything in your work.

Any kind of Knowlege Worker has probably experienced something called “Paralysis by Analysis“.  You have so much information/data about a subject that you are literally floundering around trying to get a handle on it.  This is a version of Talking about a project but not doing it or Planning to do a project but not doing it.

Let me be clear here, Action is not Activity.  Activity is mere busyness when compared to Action.  Action is focused and has specific goals.

When you engage in “A little less Talk and a lot more Action” you are more likely to be on your way to solving a problem.  Are you ready to Talk Less/Do More?  That is why I “plan” to re-read Zen To Done.  🙂
